Skills for the Future: Helping Career Clients Identify and Plan

Given the speed at which technology is increasing in our world, skills required by employers are changing.  Job candidates need to possess both hard and soft skills that will prepare them for the future.  We will discuss some top skills that are important to hiring managers in 2022 as well as industry trends that can help predict important skills in the future. I will also share a career assessment tool that helps clients identify their top skills and allows them to explore possible paths linked to these skills.  We'll conclude the discussion with tips on resilience, and how people can manage their careers in the midst of uncertainty.

Unlike other majors that will host one professional development course during the senior year, the Boler Professional Development (BPD) Program is a four-year comprehensive non-credit program with a curriculum that develops skills to prepare students for the workplace.
